What this job involves:

As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you'll play a vital role in keeping our client facilities running at peak performance. You'll be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of building systems and equipment, ensuring operational excellence and tenant satisfaction. This hands-on position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. You'll collaborate with facility management teams and work independently to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and maintain the critical infrastructure that supports our clients' success. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal building performance

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs, diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions

• Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems

• Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment service records in computerized maintenance management systems

• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other team members to coordinate repairs and ensure minimal disruption to building operations

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies while performing maintenance tasks

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance building efficiency and reliability

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent certification

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or related field

• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders, scaffolds, and in confined spaces

• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients, tenants, and team members

Preferred qualifications:

• EPA Universal Certification or other relevant technical certifications

• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

• OSHA safety training or equivalent certifications

• Experience in commercial real estate or corporate facilities

• Basic welding, carpentry, or specialized trade skills

Schedule: M-F 8:00AM- 5:00PM

Location: New York, NY

Expected compensation for this position: 59,400.00 – 59,400.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
