We'll count on you to interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials accurately, and collaborate with the construction team to deliver projects safely and efficiently. In this key role, you'll need strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to evolving project demands while maintaining a commitment to safety and quality. This position will involve travel. Ideal candidate will be located near the New Braunfels area. Job is required to travel to Kyle, Texas and Marion ISD in San Antonio. Travel assistance will be discussed.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConstruction and FrameworksMeasure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials to build structural frameworks for walls, floors, and roofs in compliance with blueprints and building codes.Installation and FinishesInstall doors, windows, cabinets, trim, molding, and other interior and exterior fixtures with precision and attention to detail.Repair and MaintenanceRepair existing structures, replace damaged components, and ensure durability and safety standards are met.Safety and ComplianceFollow safety protocols, building codes, and company policies at all times.Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition to promote a safe and efficient work environment.Team CollaborationCoordinate with superintendents, project managers, and other trades to align carpentry work with overall project objectives.Material and Resource ManagementUtilize materials efficiently to minimize waste and support cost-effective project delivery.QualificationsCarpentry experience in commercial construction.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications is preferred.Proficiency with hand tools and power tools customary to the job.Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction practices.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Essential FunctionsYou must be able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders frequently, with the ability to walk on uneven ground and work above ground on scaffolds. Standing for up to seven hours during an eight-hour shift is also expected. Requires the ability to maintain balance on uneven surfaces and scaffolding at various heights, ensuring safety in all work conditions. Good finger manipulation is essential to handle tools effectively and operate equipment. Team members must be able to carry and use hand tools, climb on both light and heavy equipment, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance required for heavier items. Must have depth perception to navigate safely around hazards, and the ability to hear horns and sirens on moving equipment. Outdoor work in temperatures from 25 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit is also required.
