Job Requirements (included but not limited to) Support Veterinarians to ensure quality, compassionate care to our patient and their owners Support in all aspects of the hospital including Front desk, Exam and Treatment rooms, Surgery, Dentistry, and Radiology Client Communication and Education Animal Handling and Restraint Surgery and Dental Preparation and Assistance Vaccination Protocols based on lifestyle Patient Monitoring Record Keeping Euthanasia General and Some Specialized Nursing Skills Instrument Care and Equipment Maintenance Hospital Cleanliness and Organization Pharmacy and Inventory Control Physical Demands and Essential Functions The ideal candidate must be able to complete all of the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, and carry items/animals up to 50 pounds, often multiple times per day. Mobility & Positioning: Constant standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Handling & Restraint: Physical strength and dexterity to handle, position, and restrain both small and large animals. Fine Motor Skills: Fine motor skills for tasks such as surgery, dentistry, injections, and using diagnostic equipment. Visual & Audio Acuity: Clear vision (close/distance/peripheral) for reading records and clinical observation, as well as hearing and speaking to communicate with clients and staff. Environment: High noise levels and exposure to animal waste, fluids, zoonotic diseases, anesthesia, and radiation. Stamina: Ability to work under stress and maintain focus for long or irregular hours, including nights and weekends. Allergies: Must be able to manage animal allergies with medication to work in close proximity to pets.
