Strategic Projects Lead

(Ex-Consulting / Banking / PE), AI Post-Training $150k - $220k base + Bonus San Francisco / San Mateo, CA (Onsite / Hybrid, relocation to the Bay Area considered) Morpheus are partnered with a fast-growing, recently Series A-funded AI startup that runs the post-training and production layer for frontier AI labs and enterprises. While the leading labs build their core models in-house, much of what makes those models reliable in the real world, such as data generation, human evaluation and reinforcement learning, is increasingly handled by specialist partners. This company is one of the startups leading that shift. Backed by a global network of vetted experts, the business supports complex AI workflows including agentic evaluations, multimodal data labeling, RL environments and code-based tasks. Having started out serving frontier labs, it has expanded into enterprise-grade tools for deploying, monitoring and improving AI systems in live environments, and counts leading AI labs and major enterprise brands among its clients as it pushes further into Fortune 500 accounts. The Opportunity This is a high-ownership role driving the company's highest-priority, highest-ambiguity initiatives. You'll pick up hard, undefined problems, structure them and drive them to outcomes, whether that's launching a new line of business, fixing a broken process or standing up a function from scratch. You'll work directly with the founders and leadership on the company's biggest bets, moving fluidly between strategy, operations and execution. For someone early in their career, it's a rare front-row seat to how leading AI labs and enterprises get models production-ready, at a company still early enough for one person to meaningfully shape how it scales. What You'll Do Lead high-priority strategic projects end to end, from problem framing to execution to results Partner directly with founders and leadership to identify and prioritise the initiatives that matter most Build the analysis, frameworks and business cases behind key strategic and operational decisions Work cross-functionally with research, delivery and operations teams to turn plans into shipped outcomes Stand up new processes, systems or teams as the business scales into new areas Build and maintain data-driven views of project performance and business health for leadership What You'll Bring 2 to 4 years' experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting or another role with strong quantitative exposure A track record of high performance in fast-paced, high-pressure environments Sharp analytical and structuring skills, with confidence building models, decks and frameworks from scratch Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to hold your own with senior stakeholders High energy, high ownership and comfort operating with ambiguity A genuine interest in AI and a desire to be close to the technology shaping the industry Based in, or willing to relocate to, the SF Bay Area What's On Offer Direct exposure to the founders and leadership on the company's most important bets An early seat at a fast-growing, well-funded startup with a strong investor base A high-ownership role with a clear path to grow your scope as the company scales A flat culture built on excellence, urgency and merit, not politics or hierarchy #J-18808-Ljbffr Morpheus Talent Solutions
