Email Marketing Specialist (New York City Metropolitan Area)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading entertainment and media organization, is seeking an experienced Email Marketing Specialist to support transactional messaging operations across high-volume customer-facing communications. Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with HTML email development, template scripting, dynamic data, and email quality assurance. The right candidate will be comfortable translating designs into production-ready email code, troubleshooting rendering issues across environments, working with cross-functional teams, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience of the right candidate:

• 5+ years of work experience in marketing operations, analytics, or equivalent applied roles.
• 3+ years of experience working in and/or managing agile teams.
• Applied coding of template scripting languages (e.g., Liquid, Handlebars).
• Expert knowledge of messaging best practices (email, push, in-app).
• Expert in conducting experiments to minimize bias against the experimental design.
• Active certifications in messaging platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Adobe Experience Manager).
• Working knowledge of SQL.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

• Building and maintaining transactional emails using HTML.
• Performing quality assurance, testing, and deployment of transactional emails.
• Working with data and platform teams to support dynamic data integrations and email deployments.
• Supporting billing, compliance, purchase confirmation, and other customer-facing transactional communications.
• Partnering with product managers on new email requests and enhancements.
• Assisting with the migration of transactional emails from Salesforce to UMP.
• Supporting redesign initiatives and implementation of a new modular framework for the company's transactional emails.
