Details 13-week assignment in a hospital Emergency Department Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week) Every other weekend required with holiday coverage on a rotating basis 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, with expectation to be onsite within one hour of call No block scheduling available No floating requirements Uses Epic EMR for charting Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (American Heart Association) required Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required ASN required, BSN preferred Epic charting experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Additional Information Serves as primary caregiver for a designated group of ED patients, applying the nursing process and current clinical practices Completes initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers, patients, and families Implements and modifies care plans based on continuous evaluation of patient status Maintains accurate, up-to-date documentation to support care coordination across the healthcare team Promotes staff and patient safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting hazards Collaborates with colleagues and provides constructive feedback to support professional development Works within a designated high-risk department Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted RTO may not exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract Temporary RN license accepted for consideration First-time travelers may be considered American Traveler Job ID P-748289.
