The ideal candidate will have experience in an Emergency Department, particularly in a Level 1 Trauma Center. This position requires flexibility and a commitment to meet the needs of our patients, including being available for evening and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality patient care. Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care. Document patient care according to established standards. Perform assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations of patient care. Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physicians and clinic policies, including patient and family education. Participate in departmental or unit performance improvement initiatives, including shared governance activities. Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other departments and units to support the longitudinal plan of care for patients. Exercise critical thinking skills regarding patient safety and experience, escalating issues through the appropriate channels as needed. Engage in the professional nursing continuum process, participating in unit practice activities and peer review processes. Holiday Coverage Holiday coverage is required.
