Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. Start date 08/24/2026 for an estimated 16 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,933–$2,992. Shift is a 10-hour rotating day/evening schedule. This is a hospital-based travel assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC. The role requires perioperative care across multiple specialties, with specific scrub and circulating responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate across general OR, GU, GYN, ENT, eyes, plastics, lap, trauma, thoracic, and vascular cases; CVOR cases are not part of this assignment
- Maintain sterile technique, instrument counts, and room turnover; manage equipment and supplies for each procedure
- Provide perioperative patient care from pre-op through intra-op and into post-anesthesia care; collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other OR staff
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and compliance with unit policies
- Assist with positioning, specimen handling, and intraoperative safety measures; respond to intraoperative changes and urgent needs
- Participate in on-call requirements and holiday coverage as outlined (one weekday call per week plus one 24-hour call in each four-week block; travelers must work two of four holidays)

Requirements
- Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Vermont
- Minimum 2 years OR RN experience
- Prior large Trauma Level I experience in a 500+ bed facility
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- BLS certification
- Ability to circulate and scrub across multiple OR specialties, with proficiency in general OR, GU, GYN, ENT, eyes, plastics, lap, trauma, thoracic, and vascular cases; scrub skills for CVOR not required
- Flexible with a 10-hour rotating day/evening schedule and availability to meet unit needs
- Prior travel experience preferred
