Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled CVOR RN for an assignment lasting 13-16 weeks. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care in a large, academic hospital setting with complex cardiovascular and open-heart procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform circulating duties in the operating room during cardiovascular and open-heart surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure adherence to safety and clinical protocols.
• Assisting with anesthesia and patient positioning as needed.
• Float to other OR suites such as General, Ortho, Neuro, and ENT, providing circulator support.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the EMR system.
• Flexibly meet the clinical needs of the unit, including standby calls and weekend responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Valid CVOR RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years recent OR experience in a high-volume, academic hospital.
• Proven competency in Cardio Vascular and Open Heart surgery procedures.
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Prior travel experience with large hospital settings.
• Ability to adapt to a variable schedule and float across different OR specialties.
