Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED) – Saratoga Springs, NY
Start date: 09/21/2026 | Duration: Weeks | Weekly pay: $1,954–$2,026 per week | Shift: 3x12 Nights | Travel - Temporary Assignment
This ED nursing position is in a hospital setting with a 36-bed unit and an approximate daily census of 120 visits. Orientation is 24 hours prior to start.

Responsibilities
- Deliver professional ED nursing care to diverse patient populations (neonates to geriatrics) including telemetry and dysrhythmia management
- Perform triage, initial assessment, interventions, medication administration, and continuous patient monitoring
- Obtain and interpret 12-lead ECGs; participate in rhythm analysis and respond to rhythm abnormalities as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams ( Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Lab, Transport, Interpretation Services, Unit Secretary) to coordinate patient care
- Document care in the EPIC system; manage medications through the Omnicell system
- Support patient flow in a high-volume ED (~120 visits daily) while maintaining safety and quality standards
- Be willing to float within the hospital per manager discretion based on skillset
- Complete required RN modules and healthstream coursework by deadlines prior to start

Requirements
- Active NY State Registered Nurse license in hand
- BLS; PALS; NIHSS required
- Preferred: 5 years of current ED experience; travel experience is a plus
- Relias EKG exam required within 72 hours after signing; 100% pass expected
- Facility proctored rhythm exam: identify 100% of critical rhythms; minimum overall score >80% (document references vary); remediation allowed if needed
- Must be able to work in an ED setting with combined adult/pediatric care and telemetry
- COVID-19 vaccine not required per account notes; flu vaccine required by 11/1 (exemptions considered with timely submission)
- Submit NY license (and certifications) with references; eligibility to practice in NY and eligibility to work in the US
