NWH is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Account Manager to accelerate growth within an assigned territory by identifying new business opportunities, expanding market share, and strengthening relationships with existing customers across the flooring, furniture, cabinetry, millwork, and related industries.

As a strategic sales partner, you will leverage NWH's extensive hardwood product portfolio to deliver value-driven solutions that help customers achieve their business objectives. This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional who thrives on developing new business, uncovering opportunities, negotiating successful outcomes, and consistently exceeding sales targets.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 annually, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunity.

This is a remote position, candidates can be located anywhere within the United States. This position provides support to all NWH manufacturing facilities.

• Drive territory growth by prospecting, developing, and converting new business opportunities within targeted markets

• Expand existing customer relationships by identifying opportunities for increased market share, cross-selling, and strategic account development

• Develop and execute territory sales plans designed to achieve and exceed revenue, margin, and growth objectives

• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their business needs and recommending tailored hardwood lumber solutions

• Conduct customer meetings, facility visits, and sales presentations to strengthen partnerships and uncover new opportunities

• Negotiate pricing, product offerings, and commercial agreements to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes

• Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing teams to ensure a best-in-class customer experience from quote through delivery

• Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to identify emerging market opportunities and inform sales strategies

• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting through effective account planning and territory management

• Represent NWH with professionalism and integrity while exemplifying the company's commitment to Safety, People, Quality, Stewardship, and Innovation

• 4–5 years of successful outside sales experience, preferably within the hardwood lumber, building products, industrial distribution, or related industries

• Demonstrated ability to generate new business, grow existing accounts, and achieve aggressive sales goals

• Proven success building strong customer relationships and influencing purchasing decisions at multiple organizational levels

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field preferred; equivalent hardwood lumber or building material sales experience will also be considered

• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%–50% within an assigned territory

• Valid U.S. driver's license

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for territory performance

• Consultative selling approach with the ability to uncover customer needs and position value-added solutions

• Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills

• Exceptional relationship-building abilities with internal and external stakeholders, including executive-level decision-makers

• Highly effective communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills

• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable sales strategies

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities

• Collaborative team player who works effectively across functions to drive customer success

• Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and a passion for winning

• Comprehensive knowledge of hardwood lumber or building products is preferred
