Paramedic / Madison, WI (On-Site)

Fortrea, a major Clinical Research Organization, seeks a Paramedic for its Madison, Wisconsin Early Phase Clinical Research Unit. The role involves direct participant care, clinical monitoring, and support of Phase 1 drug trials under physician oversight, with multiple shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Monitor participant safety and well-being; provide basic and advanced medical care within scope of practice
• Lead resuscitation and stabilization efforts for participants in life-threatening situations
• Assess participants, document adverse events, and escalate safety concerns to the investigator
• Administer medications and perform clinical procedures including blood collection, vital signs, and ECGs per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical team members to support coordinated participant care

Requirements

• State license or certification as a Paramedic
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong paramedic clinical skills: airway management, IV establishment, injections
• Two or more years paramedic experience preferred
• Experience assessing and responding to emergent and non-emergent medical situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
