Gardner, MA | ️ 13 Weeks | ICU RN – Days

Heywood Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. This opportunity is ideal for a critical care RN with strong telemetry and ICU skills who is comfortable managing high-acuity patients in a collaborative acute care environment.

The RN will provide comprehensive critical care nursing, including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, vasoactive medication administration, post-operative recovery care, and multidisciplinary care coordination.

Schedule:

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
3x12-hour shifts per week
36 guaranteed hours
Every 3rd weekend required
Holiday rotation required
Monday–Sunday scheduling

Requirements:

Active Massachusetts RN License
Current AHA BLS Certification
ACLS Certification (required or obtained within 60 days)
ICU experience preferred
Previous telemetry experience required
CCRN preferred
Meditech experience preferred

Clinical Skills:

Cardiac rhythm and EKG interpretation
Mechanical ventilation management
Arterial blood gas interpretation
Hemodynamic monitoring
Central line and arterial line management
Vasoactive and critical care drip administration
Thrombolytic and anticoagulation therapy management
Post-operative recovery and critical care assessment
