Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk I with our medical device client in Plainfield, IN. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Description:

Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.

• Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
• Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
• Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
• Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.

Qualifications:

• College degree preferred, though not required; High School Diploma / GED Required.
• 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or materials handling, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using computer systems to track inventory and process shipping/receiving documentation, including packing slips, freight bills, and bills of lading.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately verify quantities, weights, product identification, and shipment information in a fast-paced environment.
