Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview
Registered Nurse - ER in San Luis Obispo, California, United States. Start date 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,019 to $2,096 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. The role involves delivering nursing care in the emergency department, including triage, treatment and discharge planning for patients from newborns to geriatrics. This assignment is in a high-volume ED environment and is represented by CNA.

Responsibilities
- Perform triage, initial assessment and ongoing monitoring of ED patients across the lifespan, from newborns to geriatrics.
- Deliver timely treatments, administer medications as ordered, and document care in the patient record.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement discharge plans and patient education.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate to appropriate team members; ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain clean, organized work area and comply with infection control and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with CNAs and other support staff as part of a multidisciplinary ED team.

Requirements
- Active RN license in California or eligibility per state regulations.
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week).
- Experience in emergency department or acute care settings preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide patient-centered care across ages.
