Details Medical Surgical unit setting Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) Every other weekend required PRN floating required On-call required once per pay period (every 2 weeks) Block scheduling available Patient ratio of 1:6 Meditech charting system preferred Requirements Active Kentucky RN license or Compact RN license required AHA-issued BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required Meditech EMR experience preferred Charge nurse experience preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Travel nursing experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line management Experience with blood product administration and PICC line management Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and chest tube management preferred Experience with wound care/wound vac preferred Experience with PCA and insulin administration Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols Experience with cardiac monitoring and rapid response/code team procedures preferred Candidates with open or pending background/license issues will not be accepted Flu vaccination required with no exemptions Additional Information Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg unit, including line management, respiratory support, and wound care Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed May be required to float based on clinical experience Subject to on-site drug screening on first day of assignment at facility's discretion Local candidates within a 65-mile radius are not accepted for this position Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to confirmation American Traveler Job ID P-750515.
