Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel Advanced Heart Care / Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse | Nights | 13-Week Contract Join a specialized Advanced Heart Care/Cardiac Stepdown Unit caring for cardiac and stroke patients in a high-acuity environment. Location: Kentucky Specialty: Advanced Heart Care / Cardiac Stepdown RN Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12 or 4x12) Contract: 13 Weeks Requirements: ✅ Minimum 1 year of Advanced Heart Care/Cardiac Stepdown experience ✅ Previous travel nursing experience required (No first-time travelers) ✅ Active Kentucky or Compact RN License (required at submission) ✅ AHA BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required ✅ Meditech experience preferred Unit Details: Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4–5 Every other weekend required (negotiable) Block scheduling may be considered No on-call requirement No travel pairs accepted Preferred Skills: Experience in a Certified Stroke Center or Stroke Unit BE-FAST stroke assessment competency Bedside dysphagia screening Familiarity with acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke guidelines Submission Requirements: Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the application Must work 2 of 3 major holidays Active Kentucky or Compact RN license AHA certifications only Copies of certifications required No open or pending background/license issues accepted Local candidates within 65 miles are not accepted Must be able to stay within 30 minutes of the facility during the assignment Why Apply? ⭐ Specialized Advanced Heart Care/Cardiac Stepdown unit ⭐ Flexible 3x12 or 4x12 night schedule ⭐ Opportunity to care for advanced cardiac and stroke patients ⭐ Great assignment for experienced travel nurses Interested?
