Construction Site Representative /Civil Technologist

The opportunity Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee‑owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Site Representative/Civil Technologist to join our team in our Kelowna office on an hourly contract basis. You will join our vibrant team of Professional Engineers and Technologists on construction inspection projects throughout BC. You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of projects for a varied client base. What we offer Hourly compensation range from: $35.00 - 55.00 per hour. What you’ll do Monitoring the Contractor’s operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, design specifications, and drawings Monitoring progress and schedules Preparing daily & weekly reports Maintaining projects records and site diaries Reviewing contractor work procedure submissions Monitoring of quality control testing Reviewing on‑site quantities Contract Administration Coordinating with clients and sub‑consultants Effectively and clearly communicating both verbally and in writing with clients, contractors, sub‑consultants, and internal staff. You will have the opportunity to engage in a collaborative work environment, working with a team, as well as other disciplines and offices, and grow your role and responsibilities over time. Does this sound like you? 5+ years of experience in Contract Administration and Site Inspection. Eligible for professional licensing with EGBC as a P.Eng, or ASTTBC as a AScT An undergraduate degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution is considered an asset. Experience with municipal infrastructure projects, from active transportation improvements to water, sanitary, and storm main installations. Proficiency in computer programs, including Civil 3D, Microsoft Suite, Adobe, Bluebeam, and modeling software. Familiarity with roadworks construction methodology and the installation of underground utilities, including valve chambers, manholes, and vaults. Familiarity with road and bridge construction materials, methods, and processes. MMCD Contract Administration and Inspection experience is considered an asset. Alternative contract delivery experience is considered an asset. A committed team player with the ability to work independently with minimal direction when required. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality. Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Flexibility to work on‑site and in an office setting to prepare reports and assist with other design tasks. A valid driver’s license is required.
