Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Unit

Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a fast-paced 28-bed Med Surg unit caring for a diverse patient population including general surgery, vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients. This unit emphasizes patient-centered, evidence-based, and holistic care within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment focused on positive patient outcomes and professional nursing growth.

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.

Provide patient-centered care utilizing evidence-based nursing practice.

Demonstrate leadership, clinical expertise, and effective communication.

Utilize strong time management and teamwork skills to support unit performance.

Minimum 2 years of recent straight Medical Surgical RN experience required.

Float pool, SDU, and Telemetry-only experience will not qualify.

Level I or Level II Trauma experience required.

Travel nursing experience preferred.

Active Michigan RN License required at time of submission.

BLS (AHA) certification required.

Skills checklist completed within 1 year required.

Michigan license verification required.
