Investment Risk Manager - Private Assets | Hybrid | $190k -$215k + bonus | New York, NY Join one of the world's leading global asset managers in a high-impact Investment Risk role supporting private asset strategies. This position offers the opportunity to provide independent oversight across sophisticated private credit, direct lending, and structured credit portfolios while partnering with portfolio managers, investment committees, and senior risk leadership. We're seeking an experienced investment risk professional with deep expertise in private markets who enjoys combining portfolio analytics, technology, and investment strategy in a collaborative buy-side environment. What You'll Do: Provide independent oversight and ongoing monitoring of private asset portfolios with a primary focus on private credit, direct lending, and CLO/structured credit strategies Evaluate portfolio risks across market, credit, liquidity, concentration, leverage, and structural risk dimensions Develop and enhance risk dashboards and analytical tools used by portfolio managers, senior risk leaders, and investment committees Analyze portfolio- and position-level risk drivers, identify emerging trends, and communicate actionable insights Monitor developments across private credit and structured credit markets and assess their impact on portfolio risk Perform stress testing, scenario analysis, and support governance and regulatory reporting Help improve risk measurement methodologies, reporting processes, and data quality across the Investment Risk platform What We're Looking For: 5-7+ years of investment risk management, portfolio analytics, or risk consulting experience Buy-side asset management experience strongly preferred Experience supporting portfolio managers and investment teams within an asset management environment Hands-on experience with private credit, direct lending, CLOs, structured credit, or other private asset strategies Strong understanding of credit risk, portfolio construction, leverage, liquidity, and concentration risk Experience building analytical dashboards and reporting solutions for investment professionals Advanced experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python (or comparable programming language) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline CFA and/or FRM designation (or progress toward either) is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex risk concepts to investment professionals Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship Location: Hybrid - New York, NY (Currently 3 days per week in the office, with the expectation that the schedule could increase to 4 days in the future.)
