Investment Risk Manager – Equities ($175K–$190K Base) | Hybrid | New York, NY Join a globally recognized asset manager as an Investment Risk Manager – Equities, providing independent risk oversight, portfolio analytics, and actionable insights that directly support equity investment teams and portfolio managers. This is an opportunity for an experienced equity risk professional who enjoys combining quantitative analysis, market expertise, and technology to help drive investment decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of equity portfolio risk, factor analysis, and risk modeling within an asset management environment. What You'll Do: Provide independent risk oversight across equity portfolios, assessing liquidity, market, concentration, and structural risks Conduct detailed portfolio risk analysis across style, sector, country, market cap, and other risk dimensions using tools such as Barra, Aladdin, or similar platforms Translate complex quantitative risk outputs into clear insights and recommendations for portfolio managers and senior investment leaders Analyze volatility, tracking error, factor exposures, security-level risks, and portfolio risk profiles Leverage advanced analytics, visualization tools, and AI capabilities to enhance risk monitoring and reporting Support the implementation and enhancement of Aladdin, including analytics validation, model comparisons, output interpretation, and dashboard improvements Stay current on market trends and emerging risk themes to proactively identify portfolio vulnerabilities What We're Looking For: 10+ years of experience within asset management, investment risk, equity risk, or investment-related functions Direct equity market risk experience strongly preferred Experience supporting portfolio managers and investment teams within a buy-side environment Strong understanding of equity portfolio construction, risk decomposition, factor analysis, volatility, and tracking error Experience with industry-standard risk platforms including MSCI BarraOne and/or Aladdin Green Package Strong data analysis and visualization skills with experience using Power BI, Python, or similar tools Quantitative or scientific degree preferred CFA, FRM, or PRM designation or progress toward completion preferred Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences Strong ownership, judgment, and ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives Location Hybrid – New York, NY (Currently 3 days per week in the office, with the possibility of increasing to 4 days in the future.)
