Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage quality improvement project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.Manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyCreate updates and report out project status to upper managementCapable of identifying process nonconformances and coordinating cross-functional groups to identify solutionsFacilitate or lead kaizen events for continual improvement opportunitiesUse six sigma or 8D methodology to drive standardization, results and continuous improvement initiatives across the global enterprise.Write and solicit feedback for process governance documents.Monitor process performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.Business ExpertiseManaging projects to ensure stakeholder execution and schedule adherenceUnderstands the dynamics of a manufacturing companyUnderstands the requirements and adherence responsibilities to a quality management systemLeadershipActs as a mentor for colleagues and technicians; ability to lead large projects with manageable risks and resource requirementsAbility to translate management vision into tactical actions which drives quality culture improvement at grass rootsWilling to spend time on the manufacturing floor to observe directly issues which impact manufacturing efficiency and outgoing quality.Problem SolvingSolves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of informationUses the ISO9001:2015 standard as a basis for process requirementsFocus on bottom-line impact through quality improvements; develop and execute projects based on ROI and alignment with business objectivesImpactImpacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies.Interpersonal SkillsExplains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensusSeeks to collaborate and integrate others position into the solutionGovern and perform internal Quality Audits Check for manufacturing compliance to internal standards such as specifications and policiesCollaborate with engineering and operation managers to address root causeLead or Facilitate 8Ds and Kaizen eventsWhen there are significant deviations from the standard, lead 8D investigation. An immediate need to contain the problem and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA), to resolve root cause.As needed, facilitate kaizens; geared at quality improvements through technicians, supervisors and engineers’ collaboration.Perform quality stand downs with technicians as needed to convey and correct quality issuesMonitor for any repeats, keep track of results and report out to Executive ManagementCollaborate with Supplier representatives to minimize supplier caused Quality non-conformances Quick engagement with Supplier Quality Engineers to manage responsiveness of suppliers to Mfg. issues with a focus on keeping manufacturing operational.Engagement on stock purges or containments in manufacturing while working with the Manufacturing Engineers to assess the product and prevent a line downFollow up with Supplier Quality Engineers and keep Manufacturing abreast of progressLead Quality continuous improvement projectsIdentify top quality projects based on impact to Quality variance and defect per system rateLead a small team to execute projects from planning through validation/closureAdditional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:Yes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
