Occupational Therapy Assistant

Role Overview: This position involves supervised planning and execution of occupational therapy treatment programs across a wide patient age range, within an interdisciplinary team framework. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for neonatal to geriatric patients. Supervise students, volunteers, and observers involved in therapy activities. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications & Skills Knowledge of accepted Occupational Therapy practices and principles. Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent location and position changes, and assist with patient mobility. Sufficient strength, mobility, and stamina; accommodations considered for disabilities. Ability to handle potentially infectious diseases, handle emergencies, and wear protective gear. Physical activities include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting. Physical & Visual/Hearing Requirements Must have corrected vision and clear hearing capabilities. May be exposed to chemicals, infectious agents, and irregular hours. Activities involve continuous sitting and frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting.
