Position Profile Responsible for performing close‑of‑day scenarios for the hotel Guest Service area and for accounting the daily activity by organizing, verifying, and posting information; identifying and correcting discrepancies; and running and distributing daily reports. Essential Responsibilities Audit, balance, and report on all food and beverage outlets (restaurants, lounges, banquets, room service) cash and credit operations, including checks, over/short figures, tally sheets, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, and postings. Reset all registers each night to ensure accurate, timely information. Reconcile cashier reports with the restaurant system, researching and posting any unresolved tickets from day shifts. Maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, performing preliminary reconciliations, detailing transactions, and preparing final reports to accounting. Audit, balance, post, and report on front desk operations, including room charges, phone calls, zero‑balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, and deposits. Verify proper cash handling procedures and overall accuracy of all cash transactions. Audit, balance, prepare, verify, and report on room information, providing rooms management with performance insights. Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for daily reports. Balance and audit for accuracy room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashier reports, guest and house accounts, and telephone revenue; assist in preparing all daily revenue reports. Close all bank ticket codes and transmit credit card batches nightly. Run night‑audit final after ensuring all revenues are balanced. Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports. Act as hotel system liaison during night hours. Perform Guest Service Representative functions as required, including room reservations and answering hotel phone calls. Perform any other duties as designated. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High school education or equivalent experience. Six to twelve months of related position or office experience. Accounting or hospitality experience a bonus. Excellent computer and cash handling skills. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Sociable, outgoing, lively, and guest service‑oriented demeanor. Adaptability to changing guest needs. Good judgment and conflict resolution skills. Effective communication with management, staff, and guests. Working knowledge of hotel systems typically learned on‑the‑job. Physical Demands Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods.
