Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a hospital oncology department requiring ARRT certification and experience with SBRT and IMRT treatments.
Details
- Full-time position in a hospital Oncology Radiation Therapy department
- Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Treats cancer and osteoarthritis patients
- Performs SBRT, IMRT, basic radiation therapy, and breath-hold treatments
- Works with Trilogy and/or TruBeam machines
- Two therapists assigned per machine, seeing 15-25 patients daily
- No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements
Requirements
- Associate Degree required
- Louisiana LSRTBE license in Radiation Therapy required, if applicable
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (RADTH) required
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
Additional Information
- Performs radiation therapy and radiographic procedures involving X-rays and radioactive substances as prescribed by physician
- Operates specialized radiation therapy equipment and maintains treatment records
- Provides quality patient care based on diagnosis, treatment plan, age, and developmental needs
- Maintains, stores, and orders supplies and equipment as needed
- Dress code preference of olive green pants and black shirts
- Candidates must be separated from any CHRISTUS Health System facility for at least 6 months prior to starting a travel assignment
