As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. You Have: 2+ years of experience with major data science languages such as Python and R 2+ years of experience retrieving, merging, and analyzing structured and unstructured data sources from APIs and databases through Python, R, or SQL Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) Experience preparing data for use with AI or GenAI models Experience with data analytics, data mining, statistical analysis, or AI and ML TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in data engineering, or 7+ years of experience in data engineering in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have: Experience streamlining existing workflows by integrating LLMs and GenAI Experience conducting data architecture and ETL for the DoD or a federal agency Experience evaluating AI and ML model performance Experience with intelligence analysis Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
