Reporting to the Director, M&A Finance, the Senior Program Manager, M&A Finance will be a critical leader within the team, supporting the full M&A lifecycle from diligence and transaction planning through close, integration, and post‑close value realization. The role will partner closely with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Corporate Development, Legal, HR, IT, business teams, and other finance and cross‑functional teams to assess transactions, support decision‑making, and execute finance workstreams across acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will bring strong financial acumen, sound business judgment, strategic perspective, superior business partnering, AI and process excellence mindset, and the ability to lead and simplify cross‑functional efforts in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Lead finance workstreams across the full M&A lifecycle, including diligence, deal planning, close readiness, Day 1 execution, and post‑close integration. Partner with finance sub‑functions and cross‑functional M&A stakeholders to assess risks and opportunities, support transaction recommendations, and drive execution planning. Lead finance diligence activities, including analysis of historical and projected financial performance, operating metrics, cash flow, working capital, and key transaction assumptions. Review transaction materials and agreements to provide finance input on deal structure, financial risks, and key provisions. Synthesize diligence findings, financial risks, and integration considerations into clear recommendations and decision‑ready materials for leadership. Analyze and negotiate key transaction and closing considerations, including minimum cash requirements, net working capital, funds flow, purchase price adjustments, escrows, holdbacks, and related closing mechanics. Coordinate pre‑close planning across core finance functions, including Record‑to‑Report, Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, and others, to support Day 1 readiness and continuity of operations. Develop and execute finance integration plans, including governance, milestone tracking, executive updates, risk management, issue resolution, and decision‑making processes. Partner with acquired company finance teams and Autodesk stakeholders to transition processes, systems, controls, vendors, bank accounts, and reporting into Autodesk’s operating model. Support closing and post‑close execution activities, including review of seller deliverables, finance approvals, onboarding and transition planning, and transaction‑related settlements in partnership with cross‑functional teams. Track integration progress, critical dependencies, and blockers against transaction objectives, escalating issues and driving timely resolution as needed. Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and scale M&A finance processes, tools, templates, and governance while building strong relationships and influencing effectively across a matrixed organization. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. 9+ years of relevant experience in M&A finance, transaction advisory, strategic finance, corporate finance, FP&A, and/or finance integration. Demonstrated experience supporting transactions through financial diligence, modeling, close, and post‑close integration. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations. Experience leading across cross‑functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and deadlines simultaneously. Strong understanding of end‑to‑end finance processes, including Record‑to‑Report, Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, and Tax. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leaders and executive stakeholders. Proven ability to drive alignment, manage ambiguity, drive accountability, and deliver results in a matrixed organization. Strong program and project management skills, including planning, milestone tracking, risk management, and issue resolution. High degree of business judgment, attention to detail, and ownership. Preferred Qualifications MBA, CPA, or other advanced finance or accounting credentials. Experience in the technology or SaaS industry. Experience supporting software, cloud, or subscription‑based business models. Familiarity with valuation concepts and transaction metrics, including synergy analysis, cash flow assessment, and key deal performance indicators.
