Environmental Health Safety Specialist

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support and strengthen site-level safety, health, and environmental programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk, and fostering a proactive safety culture across operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable partnering with leadership and frontline employees to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance. Key Responsibilities Implement and maintain site-level environmental, health, and safety programs Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and local/state regulatory requirements Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans Deliver EHS training programs, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills Maintain accurate documentation related to inspections, incidents, and training Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections Monitor and report EHS metrics and trends to site leadership Promote a culture of safety through employee engagement and education Stay current on regulatory changes and best practices Preferred Qualifications OSHA certification (10 or 30) or willingness to obtain Professional safety certification (CSP, ASP, or similar) Experience supporting site audits and regulatory inspections #J-18808-Ljbffr
