Position Title: Certified Athletic Trainer | Administrative Support Specialist (Coordinator) Start Date: July 1, 2026

Job Summary: The Certified Athletic Trainer / Administrative Support Specialist serves a dual role within the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District. The primary responsibility is providing comprehensive sports medicine services and athletic training coverage for St. Anthony Village High School student-athletes. The secondary responsibility is providing administrative and operational support to the activities department and district leadership. This position plays an important role in promoting student-athlete health and safety, supporting athletic programs, coordinating operational initiatives, and contributing to the efficient operation of district programs and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Athletic Training & Sports Medicine
• Provide comprehensive athletic training services for student-athletes.
• Evaluate, treat, rehabilitate, and monitor athletic injuries.
• Coordinate physician referrals and return-to-play protocols.
• Maintain accurate and compliant injury documentation and medical records.
• Communicate effectively with coaches, parents, healthcare providers, and school administrators.
• Manage athletic training room operations and maintain training supplies and equipment.
• Provide athletic training coverage for home athletic events, tournaments, and varsity football road contests.
• Ensure compliance with Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) regulations and National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) standards.
• Administrative & Operational Support
• Assist with department communications, scheduling, and correspondence.
• Coordinate meetings, events, and logistical arrangements.
• Support records management, data entry, and document preparation.
• Assist with departmental initiatives, projects, and operational needs.
• Provide executive-level administrative support as assigned.
• Support efficient workflow and organization within district departments.
• Athletics Operations Support
• Assist with athletic event management and event preparation.
• Support concession operations, inventory tracking, and procurement activities.
• Assist with after-school weight room supervision as scheduling allows.
• Support the Huskies Intensity Training summer program through supervision, planning assistance, and sports medicine coverage.
• Student Health & Safety
• Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for all student-athletes.
• Demonstrate a commitment to student wellness, injury prevention, and risk management.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all health-related matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential in good standing.
• Current Minnesota Athletic Trainer licensure or ability to obtain licensure prior to employment.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technology tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, coaches, medical professionals, and district staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing athletic training services in a high school or educational setting.
• Experience coordinating athletic event coverage and sports medicine programs.
• Administrative support or office management experience.
• Experience working with student-athletes, coaches, and school-based programs.
