Lead a meaningful team. You will have direct responsibility for approximately 25–35 employees and the ability to influence safety, engagement, development and operational performance.

Safety Leadership
Managing 25-35 hourly production employees
Promote a safety-first culture across all shift activities.
Coordinate and ensure completion of required employee safety training.
Lead monthly safety initiatives and reinforce safe work practices.
Investigate safety incidents, identify root causes and implement lasting corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all plant, corporate and regulatory safety requirements.
Production and Quality
Direct shift operations to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
Communicate customer expectations and product-quality requirements to the production team.
Ensure employees consistently follow operating procedures and quality standards.
Investigate production and quality issues using structured root-cause analysis.
Partner with operators to implement corrective actions and prevent recurring issues.
Coach employees on problem-solving and continuous-improvement practices.
Continuous Improvement
Support the facility’s Total Productive Maintenance program.
Lead Autonomous Maintenance activities and employee participation.
Participate in and lead focused-improvement projects.
Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency and strengthen operational performance.
Engage production employees in process-improvement initiatives.
Reinforce standard work and consistent operating practices.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead, coach and develop approximately 25–35 hourly production employees.
Set clear expectations and provide direct, timely performance feedback.
Build an accountable and engaged production team.
Monitor employee performance and maintain appropriate documentation.
Administer coaching and corrective action when necessary.
Assess employee-development needs and adjust individual training plans.
Support positive employee and labor relations.
Ensure compliance with plant policies, procedures and workplace expectations.
Cost and Productivity
Manage labor and operational resources to achieve production and cost targets.
Identify and implement productivity and cost-reduction initiatives.
Reduce process variation, inefficiencies and operational waste.
Allocate employees and resources based on production priorities.
Track shift performance and take corrective action when results fall below expectations.
Encourage employees to identify and implement productivity improvements.
Qualifications
At least three years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, military operations or another fast-paced industrial environment.
Demonstrated experience leading, evaluating and developing hourly employees.
Experience making timely, high-impact operational decisions.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing safety, quality, productivity and cost controls.
Lean manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance or related continuous-improvement experience.
Strong communication, coaching and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to lead organizational change and gain employee buy-in.
Experience with employee or labor relations is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations or a related field is preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements This position operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled. Candidates must be able to: Work a rotating 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule.
Support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Regularly climb stairs, bend, lift and perform other physical activities.
Lift up to approximately 40 pounds.
