The Opportunity

A long-established and growing construction contractor is expanding its project-management team and plans to hire approximately seven to eight Project Managers and Senior Project Managers across multiple lines of business.

Opportunities are available for construction professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Heavy civil construction
• Transit systems
• Freight rail
• Highway and roadway construction
• Commercial construction
• Water and wastewater
• Data centers and mission-critical facilities
• Power and utilities
• Electrical construction
• Telecommunications

Candidates do not need experience in every specialty. The company is interested in Project Managers and Senior Project Managers who bring strong experience within at least one of these areas and want to build a long-term career with a diversified contractor.

What You’ll Do

• Manage construction projects from preconstruction and planning through execution and closeout
• Review plans, specifications, drawings, contracts, and project requirements
• Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, reports, and cost information
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and material approvals
• Coordinate material procurement, long-lead equipment, suppliers, and deliveries
• Develop and update baseline, two-week, one-week, and daily schedules
• Measure project schedules against actual progress and implement corrective action
• Track project budgets, costs, forecasts, invoices, and overall financial performance
• Monitor estimated labor units against actual field production
• Coordinate clients, engineers, foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Conduct field visits to verify progress, quality, safety, and contract compliance
• Resolve design, material, cost, schedule, and field-related challenges
• Ensure job-hazard analyses and required safety documentation are completed
• Build positive relationships with customers, resident engineers, construction managers, field leadership, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
• Senior Project Managers may also supervise Project Managers and support broader program delivery

What We’re Looking For

Project Managers

• Approximately 3–10 plus years of construction project-management experience
• Experience managing projects within at least one of the company’s construction specialties
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications
• Experience preparing or reviewing takeoffs
• Knowledge of project budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and invoicing
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel
• Understanding of project schedules, labor requirements, and construction documentation
• Strong client communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Senior Project Managers

• More extensive experience independently managing complex or high-value construction projects
• Proven ownership of project financials, schedules, contracts, risks, and client relationships
• Experience leading project teams and mentoring Project Managers, Project Engineers, or Assistant Project Managers
• Ability to manage multiple projects or programs simultaneously
• Strong commercial judgment and experience resolving complex project challenges
• Demonstrated ability to protect safety, quality, schedule, customer relationships, and project profitability

Preferred Technology Experience

• Primavera P6
• HCSS, HeavyJob, or HeavyBid
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction-management platforms
• Microsoft Project or comparable scheduling software
