Production Lead 1st Shift

Who You Are:

The Ideal candidate will have an exceptional work ethic, ability to coordinate several tasks concurrently, strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work in a very fast-paced and deadline driven environment.  2+ year(s) manufacturing experience required along with prior lead experience . Glass industry experience a plus. 

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Production Crew Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of 3-5 team members and convey Management’s expectations and direction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

• Encourages all members of the production team to stay on task and remain at their workstation.
\n
• Ensures that all employees are wearing the proper PPE and are following all safety procedures.
\n
• Ensures that all quality testing/checks are performed and documented per the Trulite quality standard.
\n
• Ensures the completion of the daily work schedule, communicating with other department supervisors as needed.
\n
• Communicates with maintenance immediately if any equipment issue arises.
\n
• Communicates with the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager on any issue affecting the safety, quality, and/or productivity of the crew.
\n
• Adheres to Company Policies as a team leader and conveys to team
\n
• Coordinates the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, and fabricators.
\n
• Demonstrates equipment operations and safety procedures to new employees or assigns employees to experienced workers for training.
\n
• Drives a mindset of quality in a cost-conscious manner with the production associates.
\n
• Implements training plans for production associates that maximize workforce capability.
\n
• Observes work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
\n
• Recommends ideas to production management to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
\n

Skills You Bring:

\n
• Prior lead experience.
\n
• Prior manufacturing experience.
\n
• The ability to lift 75 lbs. by yourself, 150 in tandem.
\n
• The ability to accurately read a tape measure.
\n
• The ability to stand for long periods of time.
\n
• The ability to communicate and lead people.
\n
• The ability to work in high heat manufacturing facility.
\n
• Working knowledge of plant operations, computers, hoists, and lifts preferred.
\n
• Glass industry experience is a plus.
\n
• Regular and predictable attendance, safe performance of tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job.
\n
