About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OB Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate fetal monitoring or above, STABLE for nursery Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Preferred nurse with at least one year of experience in general OB, Labor and Delivery, and Nursery care. Description: Must float to Nursery and Post-Partum. This position involves direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery setting. The OB unit generally has low volume, with less than 15 deliveries per month. Equipment used includes general OB unit equipment. Patient population consists of Level 3 OB cases. Patient ratios will align with A1 guidelines. Additional flexibility may be required to float between units due to census needs. Common diagnoses/treatments include OB delivery and nursery care. The role calls for a dedicated and compassionate approach to patient care. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential.
