job summary:
Randstad is seeking a Senior ServiceNow GRC Solution Architect to join the Cyber Risk Operations group within Amtrak's Office of the CISO. In this high-impact, 100% remote role, you will partner directly with leadership to architect and build the enterprise Cyber Security Risk Register from scratch within the ServiceNow GRC/IRM module. Serving as a primary risk domain expert and technical architect, you will translate complex cyber risk management requirements into scalable, automated ServiceNow solutions-including workflows, risk scoring, custom reporting, dashboards, and remediation tracking.

responsibilities:

Greenfield GRC Architecture & Implementation: Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and build of an enterprise Cyber Risk Register from the ground up within ServiceNow GRC/IRM.

Cyber Risk Process Automation: Translate business and cyber risk requirements into standardized, scalable workflows for risk identification, assessment, mitigation, scoring, and escalation.

Cross-Functional Consensus & Alignment: Partner closely with Cyber Risk Operations leadership, IT stakeholders, and risk committees to align ServiceNow architecture with enterprise risk strategy.

Integrations & Data Integrity: Integrate ServiceNow GRC modules with enterprise security and IT platforms, ensuring audit readiness, traceability, and continuous data integrity.

Executive Dashboards & Reporting: Build actionable visibility tools, executive dashboards, and remediation tracking systems to provide actionable cyber risk metrics to leadership.

Full-Lifecycle Execution: Guide the project lifecycle from initial requirements gathering and technical design through implementation, testing, and continuous process refinement.

qualifications:
Domain Focus: Deep expertise in Cyber Risk Management and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks-this is the primary priority for this role.

ServiceNow Architecture: Proven hands-on track record architecting, configuring, and building ServiceNow GRC/IRM modules from the ground up.

Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 8-15+ years in IT/Cybersecurity, including 2-5+ years dedicated to GRC operations or security risk architecture.

Framework Mastery: Working knowledge of NIST control frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53).

Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to interface with leadership and present solutions to cross-functional committees.

Preferred Qualifications

CRISC Certification (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) strongly preferred.

Experience in public sector, transit, transportation, or critical infrastructure environments.
