Providers with a passion for inclusive education are encouraged to apply for this contract opportunity, which welcomes both in-person and virtual professionals. With two positions available, you’ll have the chance to work closely with K-12 students, ensuring they receive the tailored instruction and care they deserve. This role is conveniently located near El Paso, IL, but remote educators are also invited to contribute from a distance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
- LBS 1 endorsement required
- Open to certified candidates interested in either onsite or virtual arrangements
- Previous experience supporting K-12 students in a special education setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to K-12 students following their IEPs
- Collaborate with educational staff and related service providers to develop effective teaching strategies
- Monitor student progress, maintain records, and adapt instruction as needed
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes student confidence and growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing training as appropriate
You can expect a consistent schedule working 35 hours per week, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Interview times are available after 12:00 PM on Wednesday as well as throughout the day on Thursday, offering flexibility for your current commitments.
