Step into a meaningful educational opportunity as a dedicated Special Education Teacher supporting a Kindergarten Self-Contained Autism program. This onsite contract role, located near Peoria, AZ, runs full-time through the school year, offering a rewarding chance to positively impact young learners on the autism spectrum.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Educator Certification and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
- Background working with young students diagnosed with Autism
- Proficiency in designing and implementing visual supports
- Proven ability to draft compliant, individualized IEPs
- Strong skills in classroom and behavior management strategies
- Commitment to collaborative teamwork with colleagues, families, and specialists
- Previous experience in a self-contained or specialized classroom preferred
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging instruction tailored to meet diverse needs of students with Autism
- Craft, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere utilizing effective visuals and evidence-based strategies
- Collect data and assess student progress, adapting interventions as needed
- Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and administration
- Maintain meticulous documentation to ensure compliance and track developmental milestones
