Director, Quality

Job Summary: Director of Quality – responsible for developing and executing a strategic Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple sites and driving measurable quality improvement in a rapidly growing aerospace and defense environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic QMS across multiple sites. Lead quality operations and ensure zero failure in mission-critical environments. Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Drive metrics-based improvement and systemic problem-solving using EBOS, Lean, and Kaizen practices. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply-chain teams to enhance customer quality and meet demand. Lead audits and manage compliance across regulatory bodies, customers, and suppliers, with deep knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, and DoD requirements. Core Competencies Quality & Compliance Leadership – proven success in leading complex, multi-site quality organizations in high-reliability industries. Continuous Improvement & Performance – skilled in EBOS, Lean, and Kaizen practices to drive metrics-based improvement. Team Development & Leadership – demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and build strong, engaged teams. Collaboration & Influence – strong cross-functional partnership with credibility to influence senior leadership, customers, and suppliers. Resilience & Adaptability – able to manage ambiguity, drive change, and motivate teams in a fast-scaling environment. Qualifications B.S. in an engineering discipline (M.S. preferred). Minimum 10 years of experience in high-mix, low-volume operations and manufacturing. Proven success leading complex, multi-site quality organizations in aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical industries. Expertise in leading audits and managing compliance across regulatory bodies and suppliers, with deep knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, and DoD requirements. Strong record of measurable quality improvements using EBOS, Lean, or Kaizen practices. Track record of building and developing strong teams, fostering high engagement, and driving accountability. Compensation and Benefits Base salary: $175,000 – $225,000 plus annual bonus. Comprehensive executive relocation support. Potential sign‑on incentives and tailored rewards based on experience.
