Overview Territory Sales Manager Location: Central FL. ASSA ABLOY is a global leader in door opening solutions dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and accessible building environment. We support healthcare, school, university, military, and commercial buildings with security and life-safety solutions, plus services like LEED consultation, code compliance, and technical support. We have an exciting opportunity on our ASSA ABLOY sales team that is intended for you. Responsibilities Grow a territory by executing Door Security Solutions’ sales strategy and using company-wide sales tools under the guidance of the Director of Sales. Assist in developing and executing sales strategy for the territory in close cooperation with the Director of Sales. Direct others on sales goals and activities. Interact with and make sales calls to key decision makers in the contract hardware arena, including distributors, architects, general contractors, construction managers, and end users. Hold regular staff meetings and assist with building and maintaining a high-performance team through hiring, coaching, training, and development. Communicate effectively with decision makers and influencers, including locksmiths, facility managers, IT networking managers, and executives. Develop short- and long-term sales plans. Qualifications Ability to think strategically with a proven record of developing and implementing effective sales strategies. Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills. Proven ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of managers, employees, customers, and influencers at all levels. Entrepreneurial spirit with enthusiasm for selling a full range of door opening solutions. Detail-oriented, organized, and known for follow-up habits; self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks and projects. Strong communication, active listening, and negotiation skills; able to work independently or in a team. Ability to read and understand specifications/facility standards and possess industry-related technical and sales aptitude. Ability to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory and within the US. Ability to perform responsibilities in a home office environment or while traveling. Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs of sample and display material. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred (sales, business, architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar) or equivalent work experience; minimum high school diploma/GED. Minimum 5 years of industry-related experience, including at least 3 years calling into the contract distribution channel and 1–2 years in a managerial role with staff responsibility. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools and sales-related software.
