Maintenance Technician II Responsibilities:

- Perform equipment tear-downs, rebuilds, and complex repairs - Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues - Execute routine and advanced maintenance on machinery and production equipment - Respond to equipment issues ("red lights") to minimize downtime - Conduct machine set-ups to support efficient production operations - Lead and participate in preventive maintenance programs and schedules - Monitor equipment performance and make proactive adjustments - Order, install, and manage replacement parts and maintenance inventory - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs - Assist operators with maintenance-related needs and technical issues - Collaborate with Maintenance Manager, Electronic Technicians, and facility teams - Train and mentor other technicians to build team capability - Ensure compliance with all safety standards (LOTO, HazCom, OSHA) - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements for Maintenance Technician II:

- High school diploma or equivalent required - At least five years of progressive maintenance technician experience - Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems - Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as inserters, conveyors, bowes, and forklifts - Direct mail, manufacturing, or press equipment experience preferred - Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities - Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems - Leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and support team members - Ability to run air lines, conduit, and wiring for equipment installations - Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs - Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Commitment to safety policies and procedures - Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly - Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods - Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery - Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment - Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as needed - Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
