Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and current New York Special Education Teaching license, including all necessary endorsements and certifications.
• Experience working with students with Emotional Disabilities in grades 11-12 preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
• Adaptability to work effectively with diverse learners, colleagues, and families.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals and state standards.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the academic and emotional needs of students.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with support staff, administration, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student success.
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and growth.
• Uphold school and district policies, including documentation and reporting requirements.
