In this role, you’ll contribute directly to classroom success, enhance students’ learning experiences, and foster their independence alongside a collaborative, supportive educational team.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• New York State Teaching Assistant Certification (required for Assistant roles)
• Previous experience in preschools or schools, particularly with behavioral or special needs students
• Comfortable working with students with medical needs, including those who are wheelchair-bound
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) background appreciated for specific positions
• Compassionate, adaptable, and patient with a passion for helping youth
• Willingness to participate in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training

Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one support to students, including those in ASD programs and multi-disabled classrooms
• Assist a nonverbal high school student with daily living skills and academic tasks
• Ensure student safety and well-being, including mobility and medical assistance as needed
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to support individualized learning plans
• Uphold the school’s protocols and contribute positively to an inclusive learning environment
