Northeast Solar brings solar, air-source heat pumps, battery storage, and EV charging together to offer complete home energy solutions for Western Massachusetts homeowners. For our sales advisors, that means more ways to meet each customer’s needs, build lasting relationships, and grow earnings through complementary products.

We’re looking for an experienced salesperson who listens well, earns trust, and guides customers from their first conversation to a signed agreement. You’ll work with company-provided leads and build additional opportunities through referrals, local relationships, and community events. Our design and installation teams support you in delivering solutions that fit each customer’s needs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• $50,000 annual base salary plus uncapped commissions
• Quarterly performance and multi-product sales bonuses
• Potential total annual earnings of $100,000–$150,000, including base salary, commissions, and bonuses

Total earnings depend on sales results and eligibility under the compensation plan. The stated range is potential total compensation, not a guaranteed salary or an earnings ceiling. Full compensation details will be discussed with qualified candidates and provided in writing before acceptance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Understand each homeowner’s energy costs, comfort needs, budget, and goals.
• Recommend suitable solar, air-source heat pump, battery storage, and EV charging solutions, including complementary products where they meet the customer’s needs.
• Coordinate with our design team to present proposals and explain scope, pricing, and projected benefits accurately.
• Follow up consistently, answer questions, address concerns, and guide customers toward a clear decision and signed agreement.
• Develop referrals and local relationships alongside company-provided leads.
• Keep customer conversations, opportunities, and dated next steps current in HubSpot.
• Meet agreed sales goals and provide complete customer handoffs to operations.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You have at least two years of sales experience with personal responsibility for closing business and meeting goals. You can demonstrate results, organize an active pipeline, and follow through reliably.

Solar experience is preferred, but we welcome successful salespeople from HVAC, home improvement, and other consultative sales backgrounds. We provide product and sales-process training.

You’re comfortable learning technical products and explaining their benefits and limitations in straightforward language. You should also be comfortable with a CRM, digital presentations, and everyday business software. Experience with HubSpot, Aurora Solar, or Solargraf is a plus.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, travel throughout your assigned Western Massachusetts territory, and occasional evening or weekend customer appointments and events. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
