PAY RANGE $80,000 - 110,000 Averro is seeking a Fabrication Manager with an established manufacturer of engineered industrial equipment is seeking a hands‑on Fabrication Manager to lead steel and aluminum fabrication operations while serving as the technical leader for welding and fabrication activities. This position is ideal for an experienced fabrication professional who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with shop‑floor involvement and technical problem solving. The successful candidate will oversee a team of fabricators, support production priorities, improve manufacturing processes, and provide technical expertise on complex fabrication challenges. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Lead daily fabrication activities to ensure production goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved. Provide technical leadership and guidance on welding, fabrication methods, fixturing, and manufacturing best practices. Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of skilled steel and aluminum fabricators. Support complex fabrication projects and assist with hands‑on welding or troubleshooting when needed. Review engineering drawings and collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability and efficiency. Develop and refine fabrication processes, welding procedures, and standardized work practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction. Partner closely with operations, production planning, and engineering teams to prioritize work and resolve manufacturing issues. Lead investigations into fabrication‑related quality concerns and implement corrective actions. Promote a strong safety culture and maintain compliance with all workplace safety requirements. QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of experience in steel and aluminum fabrication within a manufacturing environment. Hands on leadership and people management experience. Strong hands‑on experience with MIG and TIG welding processes. Previous leadership experience managing or supervising fabrication teams. Solid understanding of fabrication processes, weld distortion control, fixtures, and production methods. Experience supporting custom manufacturing, engineered products, or low‑volume/high‑mix production environments. Familiarity with AWS welding standards and certifications. WHY AVERRO?
