Hours : Shift Start Time: 7:30 AM Shift End Time: 6 PM AWS Hours Requirement : 10/40 - 10 Hour Shift Weekend Requirements : No Weekends On-Call Required : No Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum) : $49.700 - $64.130 - $71.820 The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices. What You Will Do To provide evaluation and treatment of audiological disorders to Sharp Rees-Stealy patients upon appropriate medical/professional referral, predominantly in an ambulatory setting, as part of a coordinated health care team. California Audiology Dispensing License is strongly preferred. Required Qualifications Master's Degree Audiology Audiologist - California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board -REQUIRED AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) - The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) -REQUIRED Essential Functions Consultation Consults with physicians, providers, and audiology peers regarding patient evaluations and care when indicated. Informal interactions are verbal or short (less than twenty minutes) time consultations. Formal interactions are documented consultations with at least twenty minutes of patient evaluation. As measured by direct supervisor observation or written documentation by the involved audiologists. Meets: Four informal interactions per month and participates in one co-evaluation or treatment or formal interaction. Meets/exceeds: Five to six informal interactions per month and participates in two co-evaluations or treatments or formal interactions per month. Consistently exceeds: Above six informal interactions per month and three or more co-evaluations or treatments or formal interactions per month. Consultation with physicians, physician assistants and staff Consultation with physicians, physician assistants and staff regarding patient treatment and progression of care PHYSICAL INVOLVEMENT Hand dexterity, verbal or written communication with other health professionals MENTAL INVOLVEMENT Cognitive assessment of patient's progress Professionalism/courtesy Problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities Customer service Demonstrates a courteous, professional behavior towards patients, providers, co-workers, and all internal and external customers. Courtesy and customer service will be measured by: Supervisor observation, physician and peer feedback, and Patient Satisfaction Survey results. Documentation Completes appropriate clinic documentation (progress notes, charge tickets, reports, etc.) by the end of the treatment day. Follows policies and procedures for completing all other department documentation. As directly measured by supervisor observation. Meets: Four documented exceptions per month. Five progress notes, reports, charge tickets and other documentation due by the end of the day exceptions equal one documented exception. Meets/exceeds: Two or three exceptions per month. Consistently exceeds: Less than two exceptions per month.
