Description

• Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver customized speech therapy techniques focusing on communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, medical doctors, caregivers, and families to foster unified care strategies.
• Provide informative education to patients and families to ensure progress outside of clinical environments.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, maintaining a consistent approach throughout the entire treatment journey.
• Document clinical notes accurately and punctually, adhering rigorously to state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaborative opportunities with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting the position.
