Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing a mix of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create customized treatment plans targeting immediate goals and long-lasting cognitive, communication, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver specialized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design unified care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and families to facilitate growth beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assess and provide speech therapy during inpatient evaluations, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the healing process.
• Keep thorough and precise documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing learning to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through education and collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
