Recreation Program Coordinator

About the Role Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Recreation Program Coordinator to develop, implement, and manage a diverse range of recreational activities and programs for the community in Welkom . This role is pivotal in promoting health, wellness, and social engagement through engaging leisure opportunities. You will work closely with community members, local organizations, and volunteers to ensure the successful delivery of programs that cater to various age groups and interests, blending administrative tasks with direct community interaction. Key Responsibilities Design, schedule, and promote a variety of recreational programs, including sports leagues, fitness classes, arts and crafts, and community events. Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers, ensuring high-quality program delivery. Manage program budgets, including expenditure tracking, revenue generation, and resource allocation. Develop and maintain partnerships with local schools, community groups, and businesses to expand program offerings. Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures. Evaluate program effectiveness through participant feedback and outcome measurement, making recommendations for improvements. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, or a related field. Experience in planning and coordinating community-based recreational programs. Strong understanding of program development, risk management, and volunteer management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. First Aid and CPR certification is required.
