Why Join Us? 4x10 schedule (no call) Limited weekend rotation (every 6th weekend) Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250/year Sign‑on bonus up to $2,500 for eligible candidates Open to new grads and cross‑training techs (subject to specialty tech requirements) Posting Specifics Entry Rate: $38.77+/hour (based on experience) Benefits Eligible: Yes Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), rotating 10‑hour shifts Location: Intermountain Medical Center – IP & OP Ultrasound Minimum Qualifications Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) – successful completion of one relevant registry beyond physics (options: OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, vascular) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of ultrasound experience Essential Functions Maintain ARDMS certification and modality‑specific competency Verify patient identification and orders; prepare patients for examinations Perform ultrasound exams per protocol and ensure image quality, clarity, and accuracy Complete studies efficiently without compromising patient care or quality Educate patients, ensure comfort, and address questions or concerns Support and train students and team members on procedures, positioning, and equipment Follow infection control, sterile technique, and safety protocols Operate imaging equipment and related systems to produce high‑quality results Accurately document patient information, procedures, and any adverse events Adhere to protocols for medical necessity, coding, consents, and equipment quality control Skills Patient care and safety Ultrasound imaging and scanning proficiency Image evaluation and quality assurance Clinical and anatomical knowledge Equipment operation and troubleshooting Documentation and computer literacy Communication and customer service Time management and prioritization Teamwork and independent work Adaptability and emergency response Physical Requirements Need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies Frequent verbal communication with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, especially during emergency situations Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment, frequent computer use, typing, and documentation Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients; bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies, including heavy items Must walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and distributing supplies and equipment, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time Location Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, Utah Compensation Hourly range: $38.77 – $59.82, dependent upon experience.
