At Oaktown Church, we believe church should be full of life, full of purpose, and a place where people genuinely belong. We're passionate about helping people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and discover how God can use their lives to make a difference.

And we believe that starts with the next generation.

We're looking for a Youth Director who loves Jesus, genuinely loves students, and is excited about building something special at Oaktown.

We want someone who can laugh with students, show up in their world, create unforgettable experiences, build meaningful relationships, and - most importantly - point them toward Jesus.

This is more than running a weekly youth service. We're looking for someone who will build a culture students want to be part of.

What Youth At Oaktown Should Feel Like

We want Oaktown Youth to be the kind of place where students can't wait to come back - and can't wait to bring a friend.

It should be fun.

It should be welcoming.

It should be authentic.

It should be a little loud sometimes.

And it should always point students toward Jesus.

We want students to know they have a place at Oaktown where they are known, loved, challenged, encouraged, and surrounded by people who believe in them. Our Youth Director will help make that vision a reality.

What You'll Get To Do

Build relationships with students. Know their names. Know their stories. Show up at their games, performances, graduations, and important moments. Be someone students know is genuinely in their corner.

Create incredible youth experiences. Plan and lead weekly gatherings that combine worship, biblical teaching, small groups, games, community, and plenty of fun.

Help students fall in love with Jesus. Communicate God's Word in a way that is biblical, relevant, engaging, and understandable for the world teenagers are navigating today.

Build an amazing team. Recruit, develop, encourage, and empower adult leaders who share Oaktown's heart for the next generation. We don't want one person doing everything - we want a team of people investing in students together.

Develop student leaders. Give students opportunities to discover their gifts, serve, lead, and understand that they don't have to wait until adulthood for God to use them.

Create moments students will remember. Camps. Retreats. Events. Outreach nights. Missions opportunities. Crazy games. Meaningful conversations. Big moments and small ones - we want to create experiences that build relationships and open doors for life change.

Partner with parents. Parents are one of the greatest influences in a student's life. We want our Youth Director to communicate well with families, build trust, and come alongside parents as they raise and disciple their students.

Reach students who aren't here yet. We want Oaktown Youth to reach beyond the walls of our church. That means being present in our community, building relationships, and continually asking, "How can we reach one more student?"

Who We're Looking For

· Has a genuine and growing relationship with Jesus.

· Loves the local church and believes deeply in its mission.

· Has a passion for middle and high school students.

· Is fun, energetic, approachable, and relational.

· Can communicate biblical truth in a way students understand.

· Is comfortable being both the person leading from the stage and the person sitting across the table listening to a student.

· Is creative and willing to dream big.

· Can organize people, events, calendars, communication, and all the details that make ministry happen.

· Loves developing volunteers instead of trying to do ministry alone.

· Works well as part of a larger staff team.

· Is teachable, dependable, humble, and willing to jump in wherever needed.

· Understands that ministry is about people - not programs.

· Wants to build something that makes an eternal difference.

More Than A Youth Program

At Oaktown, we're not looking for someone simply to maintain a youth ministry. We want someone who wants to build one.

We want to see students encounter Jesus, invite their friends, find their people, discover their purpose, serve others, go on missions, become leaders, and ultimately carry their faith with them long after they graduate.

We want Oaktown Youth to be a place filled with life, laughter, relationships, worship, discipleship, and unforgettable moments.

Because we believe God has an incredible purpose for this generation - and we want to do everything we can to help them discover it.
