HR Generalist Build the People Function· Own How We Hire · Austin, TX Aeon Industrial is growing faster than our people processes can keep up with — and that is exactly why this job exists. We are hiring the person who will own how we find talent, how we bring them in, and how we take care of them once they are here. This is a seat where you help create the playbook. Half your week may be full-cycle recruiting for the roles that unblock the business. The other half is everything else: onboarding, benefits, compensation, employee relations, compliance, performance, culture. You will decide what gets built first, build it, and then run it. What You’ll Own Generalist in the truest sense. If it touches employees, it is yours. Recruiting Run full-cycle recruiting across the business — sourcing, screening, interview logistics, offer negotiation, and close. Partner with hiring managers to define what “great” actually looks like before the req opens Design structured, fair interview loops Own the candidate experience – everyone who talks to us should leave with a good impression Shape and tell the Aeon story, a pitch that makes a strong candidate pick us Onboarding & Employee Experience Build an onboarding program that gets new hires productive and connected fast Employee Relations & Manager Support Be the trusted first call for employees and managers Investigate and resolve concerns with fairness, discretion, and clean documentation Total Rewards & Operations Administer and improve benefits, leave, and payroll partnership Help build compensation structure — bands, leveling, and a defensible approach to raises and offers Compliance & Foundations Keep us compliant across every jurisdiction we operate in — employment law, classification, I-9s, records, required training Shape the policies and the handbook, then keep them current and actually readable What We’re Looking For 5–8 years in HR with real depth as a generalist and hands‑on recruiting experience — you have handled an ER case and carried a req load, and you are comfortable in both. Experience in a scaling company, where the org chart changed underneath you Working command of employment law and HR compliance, with the judgment to know when to bring in counsel. Genuinely excellent judgment with confidential and sensitive information Clear, direct communication with everyone from a first‑week technician to the executive team. Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward shipping. You would rather launch a good process now and iterate than design a perfect one for six months. Fluency with HR systems and data Bonus Points Industrial, manufacturing, or other environments with both salaried and hourly or shift‑based workforces HR certification (SHRM‑SCP, SPHR, or similar) Multi‑state or multi‑site compliance experience Why This Role Real scope.
